The Robie Area Firewise Community is a recognized Firewise USA® community working to reduce wildfire risk along the edge of the American River Canyon.
What is Firewise USA®?
Firewise USA® is a national program that empowers neighbors to work together to reduce wildfire risk. Our community earned this recognition by developing action plans, conducting risk assessments, and investing volunteer hours to make our neighborhood safer.

Our community sits along the scenic American River Canyon, which means we live in the wildland-urban interface—where neighborhoods meet undeveloped wildland areas.
Auburn's very high fire hazard severity zone has grown from 326 acres to over 800 acres in the past decade, making proactive fire safety more important than ever.
The greater Auburn area now has 23 active Firewise communities, and ours is part of that vital network of neighbors helping neighbors.
